Frequently Asked Questions
·
Why should I hire a Baby Nurse?
o
Because
as a new parent it allows you time to focus on your own physical and emotional
recovery/adjustments, while trusting your new baby’s care to the capable hands
of the Baby-Nurse.
·
How long in advance can I book a Baby
Nurse?
o
It
is always best to book the Nurse months in advance. This gives the prospective
parents and Nurse the advantages of becoming better acquainted; establishing
compatibility, forward planning…and the list goes on.
·
Can I expect any flexibility regarding
an extension of the duration of the booking?
o
Usually
this should be mentioned as a consideration while discussions are ongoing.
·
Will I be allowed to spend time bonding
with my baby?
o
Certainly,
bonding is encouraged since it is an absolute necessity. A nurse is not there
to replace parents and siblings, but to work together as one unit.
·
At what stage will my baby sleep
through the night?
o
This
varies from baby to baby and can extend to up to 1 year of age
·
How would I know if my breast-fed baby
is getting enough milk?
o
There
are patterns which can be observed…like the baby’s elimination frequency and
consistency…also, after a feeding, previously hard breasts should feel softer…
